A Reason Without Rhyme

A Reason Without Rhyme

Salutations, everyone. I’m Dave!

I am many things, and I’ve considered myself a bit of a Renaissance Man, a Jack-Of-All-Trades, for most of my life. I’m a sucker for a great story, whether it be in a novel, a documentary, comic book, spoken word, music, movie, and weird points in-between.

Our friend, Jack Lhasa, has something with this Moonshadow project. He and I have been friends for a long time, and we recently reconnected kind of at random on Discord. I’d always known he had the heart of a writer, and have one of his earliest published books. I like how his mind works, and Moonshadow has some juicy, compelling chonks that I couldn’t ignore!

I’ve published a few things myself, from a book of short stories I made just to see how the process of publishing went, to various contributing news articles, blog posts, social media marketing initiatives, poems, and a score of NaNoWriMo entries I may one day forge into my next book.

I find myself most interested in the short story form. I am an Idea Man, and I conjure up compelling moments that I absolutely obsess over. The thing is, all of these ideas could be expanded into long-form works, but my mind is only interested in certain snapshots. Introduce my mind to some quirky quandary and it launches into “how can this concept work in this universe?” mode.

Jack presented me with a treasure trove of quirky quandaries, and I was more than happy to lend my skewed synapses to the work. It’s nothing less than exciting, and I think you all may find something worthwhile and uniquely interesting to connect with.

Join us on this journey as we create from the ether. Perhaps you’d like to add your own ideas, and stake a claim on the frontier of this new world.
